Welcome to the Internet Chapter's message board. If there's anything about Sisters in Crime you'd like to know, we'll do our best to answer you on our public forum.But in order to use any part of the board, you'll need to register; it's a way of protecting you from those spiders crawling all over the web looking for e-mail addresses that the spammers so love to collect. It will also protect the board itself from being spammed.
When you get to the message board, click on Register at the top of the screen; you'll be taken to a brief form to fill out. The only windows you have to fill in are UserName and e-mail address. The others are optional.
You will instantly receive e-mail assigning you a random password, while you are still online. You can change your password; click on Profile at the top of the message board screen. Registering takes only a minute and you need do it only once -- and it should keep the spamming at bay.
If, however, you plan to become a member of the internet chapter, which you will need to do to go beyond the public forum, then you will get a new registration with a new password. At that point, stop using the log in you had set up for yourself. If you think you will get confused, ask the websister when you join to delete your previous public access registration on the board.
